Cheesy Skillet Flatbreads
Ingredients
Dough
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
Filling
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup feta or cream cheese (optional for extra flavor)
For Cooking
Butter for brushing
Instructions
Make the dough
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes.
Add flour, salt, egg, and melted butter.
Knead until soft and smooth (about 8 minutes).
Cover and let rise 1 hour.
Prepare the flatbreads
Divide dough into 6 pieces.
Roll each into a circle.
Add cheese filling in the center.
Fold edges inward and seal.
Gently roll again into a flat round shape.
Cook
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Cook each bread 2–3 minutes per side until golden spots appear and cheese melts.
Brush with butter immediately after cooking.
Serve
Best served warm while the cheese is stretchy and soft.
