Golden Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets 🥐
These flaky puff pastry pockets are buttery outside and warm, melty inside—great for lunch, dinner, or a snack.

Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
150–200 g cooked ham, sliced or chopped
1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Swiss, or a mix)
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
1 tbsp softened butter
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tbsp sesame seeds or dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare pastry
Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
Add filling
On one half of each rectangle, spread a tiny amount of butter and mustard (optional).
Add ham and a generous handful of cheese.
Seal pockets
Fold pastry over the filling. Press edges with a fork to seal. Cut a small slit on top for steam.
Brush & finish
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds or parsley.
Bake
Bake 20–25 minutes until deep golden and puffed.

Add thin tomato slices
Mix in caramelized onions
Add spinach or sautéed mushrooms
Sprinkle Parmesan before baking
