Baked Apple Fritters 🍎✨
These soft, sweet baked apple fritters are packed with tender apples, warm cinnamon, and finished with a simple glaze.
Ingredients
For the fritters:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
For the glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples gently.
Drop large spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them slightly into fritter mounds.
Bake for 14–16 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
While warm, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
Drizzle or brush glaze over warm fritters.
Let set for a few minutes, then enjoy!
