Amish Potluck Casserole Recipe
A simple, cozy, old-fashioned casserole that’s creamy, cheesy, and perfect for family dinners or potlucks.
Ingredients
500 g ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 small onion, chopped
3 cups egg noodles, uncooked
1 can (300 g) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 tablespoon butter (for greasing dish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion until meat is browned. Drain excess fat.
Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
In a large bowl, mix:
cream of mushroom soup
sour cream
cottage cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Stir in cooked noodles and beef mixture.
Grease a baking dish with butter and pour mixture in evenly.
Top with remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
