Brown Sugar Chops Recipe
Ingredients
4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
Instructions
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over both sides of the chops and gently press it in.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil if using.
Add the pork chops and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side.
Add butter to the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking and spoon the melted butter over the chops as they cook.
Continue cooking until the brown sugar melts and forms a rich caramelized glaze.
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
