Cheesy Ground Beef & Green Pepper Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
2 green bell peppers, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in chopped green peppers, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 4–5 minutes until peppers soften slightly.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a baking dish.
Add half of the shredded mozzarella and cheddar.
Spoon the beef and pepper mixture over the cheese layer.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
