Soft Skillet Flatbread (Pan Bread)
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour (about 375 g)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 cup warm milk (240 ml)
1/2 cup warm water (120 ml)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
Extra flour for dusting
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
Add warm milk, warm water, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Divide dough into 8β10 equal balls.
Flatten each ball into small round discs (about 1/2 inch thick).
Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Heat a non-stick pan or flat skillet over medium heat (no oil needed).
Cook each bread for 2β3 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown spots appear.
Stack and cover with a clean towel to keep soft.
