Classic Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents
Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 lb (450 g) ground breakfast sausage (or mild pork sausage)
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
Add the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper to the warm sausage. Stir until creamy and well combined.
If using cheddar cheese, mix it in now.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Place about 1 tablespoon of filling on the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the tip and place on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
