👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the wonton dough (skip if using store-bought)
Mix flour and salt, then add egg and water gradually.
Knead into a smooth dough (about 8–10 minutes).
Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
Roll thin and cut into small squares.
  2. Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix pork, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, salt, and pepper.
    Stir until slightly sticky.
  3. Assemble the wontons
Place a small spoon of filling in the center of each wrapper.
    Wet edges with water.
Fold into a triangle, then bring corners together to seal.
  4. Make the soup broth
In a pot, bring chicken broth, garlic, and ginger to a simmer.
Add soy sauce and sesame oil.
    Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Cook the wontons
Drop wontons into the simmering broth.
Cook for 4–6 minutes until they float and are cooked through.
  6. Finish & serve
Add vegetables if using and cook 1–2 minutes.
Ladle into bowls and top with green onions or chili oil.
    🌟 Tips
    Don’t overfill the wontons—they’ll burst.
You can freeze uncooked wontons for later.
Shrimp + pork combo makes the flavor even better.
