Ingredients
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
¼ cup (60g) butter
2 tbsp honey or corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup (100g) chopped nuts (walnuts or peanuts work great)
Instructions
Prepare your pan
Line a small square pan (about 20Ć20 cm) with parchment paper.
Cook the caramel base
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine:
brown sugar
cream
butter
honey
Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
Simmer to thicken
Let it gently boil for about 8ā10 minutes, stirring often.
It should thicken and turn a deeper caramel color.
Add flavor & nuts
Remove from heat, then stir in:
vanilla
salt
chopped nuts
Pour and set
Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Cool completely
Let it sit at room temperature (or refrigerate for faster setting) until firm.
Cut into squares
Lift out and slice into bite-sized pieces.
