Baked BBQ Baby Back Ribs

🍖 Baked BBQ Baby Back Ribs
🧂 Ingredients
1 rack baby back ribs (about 1–1.5 kg)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
🔪 Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs
    Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (this makes them more tender).
Pat ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Season
In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and brown sugar.
Rub olive oil over the ribs, then coat evenly with the spice mix.
  3. Bake low and slow
Wrap ribs tightly in foil and place on a baking tray.
Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. Add BBQ sauce
Remove ribs from oven and unwrap carefully.
    Brush generously with BBQ sauce.
  5. Finish (caramelize)
Increase oven to 220°C (425°F) or use grill/broiler.
Cook uncovered for 10–15 minutes until the sauce is sticky and slightly charred.
    🍽️ Tips
Let ribs rest for 5–10 minutes before cutting.
Serve with fries, coleslaw, or bread.
For extra smoky flavor, add a little smoked paprika or a drop of liquid smoke.
