Bread in a Bag
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons sugar
1 packet rapid-rise yeast
1¼ teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)
Instructions
Mix dry ingredients
In a large zip-top bag, combine:
1 cup flour
sugar
yeast
salt
Add liquids
Pour in warm water and olive oil. Seal the bag and squeeze/mix until combined.
Add remaining flour
Add the remaining 2 cups flour gradually, kneading the dough in the bag until soft and smooth.
Let rise
Remove dough from the bag and place in a greased bowl or mini loaf pans. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes, or until doubled.
Bake
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Cool & serve
Brush with butter if desired and let cool slightly before slicing.
Tips
You can divide the dough into 3–4 mini loaf pans like in the picture.
Add garlic powder, herbs, or shredded cheese for extra flavor.
If the dough feels sticky, sprinkle in a little extra flour while kneading.
