Slow Cooker Sausages and Onion Gravy
Ingredients
8 sausages (pork, beef, or your favorite kind)
2 large onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Salt and black pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Brown the sausages
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausages for 4–5 minutes until lightly golden. This adds extra flavor.
Prepare the slow cooker
Add sliced onions and garlic to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add sausages and sauce
Place sausages on top of onions. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard.
Cook
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours
Thicken the gravy
Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve with:

Rice
Crusty bread
Roasted vegetables
