Creamy Mushroom Beef Casserole
A cozy, easy dinner with just a few ingredients that turns tender and creamy in the oven.
Ingredients
1½ to 2 lbs beef stew meat
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 packet onion soup mix
1 cup beef broth or water
Optional:
Sliced mushrooms
Garlic powder
Black pepper
Egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
Place the raw beef stew meat into a glass casserole dish.
In a bowl, mix together:
cream of mushroom soup
onion soup mix
beef broth or water
Pour the mixture over the beef and stir gently to coat.
Cover tightly with foil or a lid.
Bake for 2½ to 3 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
