Creamy Comfort Chicken Bake
This cozy casserole is rich, creamy, and perfect for chilly nights.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
Velvety Mixture
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional Topping
Crushed buttery crackers or breadcrumbs
Extra shredded cheese
Fresh parsley
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a glass casserole dish and place chicken breasts inside.
Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
In a bowl, whisk together:
cream of chicken soup
sour cream
chicken broth
cheese
garlic
Italian seasoning
Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken.
Add cracker crumbs or extra cheese on top if desired.
Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
