π Old-Fashioned Salmon Patties (From a Can)
π Ingredients
1 (14β15 oz) can salmon, drained
1 large egg
Β½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
ΒΌ cup finely chopped onion
1β2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional but makes them moist)
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
Β½ tsp garlic powder
Β½ tsp salt
ΒΌ tsp black pepper
2β3 tbsp oil for frying

Prep the salmon
Drain well. Remove large bones and skin if desired (small soft bones are fine β they mash right in).
Mix
In a bowl, flake the salmon with a fork. Add egg, breadcrumbs, onion, mayo, mustard, and seasonings.
Mix until combined.
Form patties
Shape into 4β6 patties. If mixture feels too wet, add a little more breadcrumbs.
Fry
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook patties 3β4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Drain & serve
Place on paper towels. Serve warm.
