🍎 Melt-In-Your-Mouth Apple Pie
🛒 Ingredients
For the crust:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cold butter (cut into cubes)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
5–7 tbsp cold water
For the filling:
5–6 apples (peeled, sliced) 🍎
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions
- Make the dough
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt
Add cold butter and rub it in until crumbly
Add cold water gradually until dough forms
Divide into 2 parts, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes - Prepare the filling
In a large bowl, mix apples with sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, vanilla, and flour
Toss well so everything is coated - Assemble the pie
Roll out one dough and place it in a pie dish
Add the apple filling
Roll out the second dough and cover the top (or make a lattice design)
Seal edges and cut small slits on top - Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden and bubbling

Use a mix of sweet and slightly tart apples
Don’t skip chilling the dough (makes it flaky!)
Let the pie rest 20–30 minutes before cutting
