๐Ÿงพ Ingredients
For the ribs:
1.5โ€“2 kg pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
For the honey garlic sauce:
1/2 cup honey ๐Ÿฏ
1/3 cup soy sauce
5โ€“6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
1 tsp ginger (optional, grated)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, for thickening)
๐Ÿ”ฅ Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs
    Preheat oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF)
    Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs (for tenderness)
    Season ribs with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder
  2. Bake low & slow
    Wrap ribs tightly in foil
    Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender
  3. Make the sauce
    In a saucepan, combine:
    honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger
    Bring to a simmer for 5โ€“7 minutes
    Add cornstarch slurry โ†’ stir until thick and glossy
  4. Glaze & finish
    Remove ribs from foil and place on a baking tray
    Brush generously with sauce
    Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, or broil 3โ€“5 minutes for a caramelized finish

    Turn ribs once while glazing for even coating
    Add chili flakes ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ if you like a spicy kick
    Let ribs rest 5 minutes before slicing
