π Honey Garlic Ribs
π§Ύ Ingredients
For the ribs:
1.5β2 kg pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
For the honey garlic sauce:
1/2 cup honey π―
1/3 cup soy sauce
5β6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
1 tsp ginger (optional, grated)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, for thickening)
π₯ Instructions
- Prep the ribs
Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F)
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs (for tenderness)
Season ribs with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder - Bake low & slow
Wrap ribs tightly in foil
Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender - Make the sauce
In a saucepan, combine:
honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger
Bring to a simmer for 5β7 minutes
Add cornstarch slurry β stir until thick and glossy - Glaze & finish
Remove ribs from foil and place on a baking tray
Brush generously with sauce
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, or broil 3β5 minutes for a caramelized finish
π Tips for BEST flavor
Turn ribs once while glazing for even coating
Add chili flakes πΆοΈ if you like a spicy kick
Let ribs rest 5 minutes before slicing
