🍞 Simple French Toast Recipe

4 slices of bread (white bread or sandwich bread works best)
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar (optional, but kids love it!)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Butter (for frying)

Make the mixture
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
Soak the bread
Dip each slice of bread into the mixture for a few seconds on each side (don’t soak too long or it’ll get soggy).
Cook
Heat a pan over medium heat and melt a little butter.
Place the soaked bread in the pan.
Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Serve warm
