🍚 Fried Rice – Don’t LOSE This Recipe!
This is that go-to, better-than-takeout fried rice you’ll make again and again. Perfect for leftover rice and ready in about 20 minutes!
🛒 Ingredients
3 cups cold, cooked rice (day-old rice works best)
2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame oil)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup cooked chicken, shrimp, or beef (optional)
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional but delicious)
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
2–3 green onions, sliced
Salt & black pepper to taste
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Heat the pan:
Use a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil.
Scramble the eggs:
Pour in beaten eggs. Scramble quickly, then remove and set aside.
Sauté garlic & veggies:
Add remaining oil. Stir in garlic and cook 20 seconds. Add vegetables and cook 2–3 minutes.
Add protein (if using):
Toss in cooked chicken/shrimp/beef and heat through.
Add the rice:
Break up clumps. Stir-fry 3–5 minutes until slightly crispy.
Season it:
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Finish:
Return scrambled eggs to the pan. Toss in green onions. Stir and serve hot!
🔥 Tips for PERFECT Fried Rice
Always use cold rice – fresh rice gets mushy.
Cook on high heat for that authentic flavor.
Don’t overcrowd the pan.
Add a tiny splash of rice vinegar for extra flavor (optional).
