🍗 Garlic Butter Chicken Gizzards
🧾 Ingredients:
500 g chicken gizzards (cleaned)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 small onion (chopped)
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp cumin (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
1 cup water
👩🍳 Instructions:
Clean & prep
Wash the gizzards well and trim off any tough parts.
Pre-boil (important for tenderness)
Put gizzards in a pot with water and a pinch of salt.
Boil for about 30–40 minutes until they start to soften.
Drain and set aside.
Sauté
Heat butter or oil in a pan.
Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Cook gizzards
Add the boiled gizzards to the pan.
Sprinkle paprika, pepper, salt, and cumin.
Stir well and cook for 10–15 minutes until slightly crispy.
Finish
Add lemon juice and mix.
Garnish with parsley if you like.
