For the loaf:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup butter (softened)
Âľ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup milk
2 cups peeled & diced apples (about 2 medium)
For the cinnamon swirl:
â…“ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Optional glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan.
Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Cream butter & sugar
In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs & vanilla
Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
Combine wet & dry
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Mix until just combined.
Fold in apples
Gently stir in the diced apples.
Prepare swirl
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Layer the batter
Pour half the batter into the pan
Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar
Add remaining batter
Top with remaining cinnamon sugar
Swirl it
Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter.
Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & glaze (optional)
Let cool, then drizzle with glaze if you like extra sweetness.
