🍲 3-Ingredient Melt-in-Your-Mouth Soda Pot Roast
Ingredients
1.5–2 kg beef chuck roast (or similar tough cut)
1 packet onion soup mix (or beef onion seasoning mix)
1 can (330 ml) cola or lemon-lime soda
Instructions
- Prep the meat Place the beef in a slow cooker (or deep baking dish if using oven).
- Add flavor Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the top.
- Add soda Pour the soda over the meat. It will help tenderize the beef and create a rich, slightly sweet sauce.
- Cook slowly
Slow cooker: 8 hours on LOW (or 4–5 hours on HIGH)
Oven: cover tightly and bake at 160°C for about 3.5–4 hours - Finish When done, the meat should shred easily with a fork. Mix it into the juices or reduce the sauce on the stove if you want it thicker.
