🍪 Easy 20-Minute Homemade Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (120g) flour
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
1/4 cup (60g) butter (softened)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Pinch of salt
Optional: chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth.
Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
Add flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until a soft dough forms.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Scoop small balls of dough onto a baking tray (leave space between them).
Flatten slightly with your hand or a fork.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
Tips:
Don’t overbake—they continue to cook slightly after removing from oven.
Want softer cookies? Bake closer to 10 minutes.
Want crispy? Leave them 1–2 minutes longer
