🥖 Garbage Bread (Loaded Stuffed Bread)
🧾 Ingredients:
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
1 cup cooked ground beef or sausage
1/2 cup cooked bacon (crumbled) (optional but amazing)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell peppers
1/2 cup mushrooms (optional)
2 tablespoons ketchup or BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
For topping:
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Extra cheese (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the filling
In a pan, cook ground beef or sausage until browned. Add onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
Stir in ketchup/BBQ sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Let it cool slightly.
Roll out the dough
Stretch pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Add the filling
Spread the meat mixture evenly, leaving a border around the edges. Sprinkle cheese and bacon on top.
Roll it up
Roll the dough tightly like a log (like a jelly roll). Pinch the seams and ends closed.
Top it
Place seam-side down on baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool & slice
Let it rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve.
🔥 Tips:
Swap meat for chicken, tuna, or even just veggies.
Add leftovers like fries, deli meats, or different cheeses.
Serve with dipping sauces (ketchup, ranch, or spicy mayo).
