Soft Layered Skillet Flatbread Recipe 🫓
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon instant yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing layers)
Extra flour for rolling
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add warm milk, warm water, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Divide dough into 8 equal balls.
Roll each ball into a thin circle. Brush lightly with melted butter, then fold or roll into a coil shape.
Let the coils rest for 10–15 minutes.
Roll each coil gently into a flat round bread.
Heat a dry skillet or pan over medium heat.
Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown spots appear.
Brush with extra butter while warm and stack covered with a towel to keep soft.
