Simple Homemade Collagen-Boosting Broth Recipe 🍲
This isn’t pure collagen powder, but it’s a natural homemade broth rich in collagen from bones and connective tissue.
Ingredients
1 kg beef bones, chicken bones, or chicken feet
1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks (optional)
2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves
2 liters water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Put the bones in a large pot or slow cooker.
Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Pour in water and add apple cider vinegar (this helps pull collagen from the bones).
Let it sit for 20–30 minutes before heating.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat.
Simmer:
Chicken bones: 8–12 hours
Beef bones: 12–24 hours
Strain the broth and discard solids.
Let cool and refrigerate. It should become jelly-like—that means it’s rich in collagen.
How to Use
Drink 1 cup warm daily
Use in soups, rice, or sauces
Optional Flavor Boost
Add ginger, lemon, or turmeric for extra benefits.
