Crispy Oven Potato Wedges (Better Than Fries!)
Ingredients
4 large potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Wash and peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into thick fries or wedges.
Soak the potato wedges in cold water for 20–30 minutes.
This helps make them extra crispy.
Drain and dry them very well with a clean towel.
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add the potatoes and toss until evenly coated.
Arrange them in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Serve with
Ketchup
Garlic sauce
Cheese dip
Spicy mayo
Crispy outside, soft inside—and no need for fast food!
