Oven Baked Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 lbs (about 1 kg) chicken wings, split and tips removed
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)
1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
Optional Sauce
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tbsp hot sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels. This helps them get crispy.
In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, baking powder, and oregano.
Line a baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top if you have one.
Arrange the wings in a single layer without overcrowding.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
If using sauce, mix melted butter, hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce in a bowl.
Toss hot baked wings in the sauce or serve it on the side.
Serve With
Ranch dip, blue cheese dressing, fries, or a fresh salad.
