Ingredients:
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Wash and cut the broccoli into florets. Slice the mushrooms and onion.
In a small bowl, mix:
soy sauce
oyster sauce
sesame oil
cornstarch
water
Set aside.
Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add onion and garlic. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring often.
Add mushrooms and cook another 4–5 minutes until softened.
Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well until everything is coated and the sauce thickens.
Season with black pepper and red pepper flakes if using.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot with rice or noodles.
Tip:
Add chicken, tofu, or shrimp for extra protein.
