Michigan Rocks (Chocolate Peanut Clusters)

🍫 Michigan Rocks (Chocolate Peanut Clusters)
🧾 Ingredients:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips (optional but traditional)
1½ cups dry roasted peanuts (salted or unsalted)
2 cups mini marshmallows
2 cups crispy rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Melt the chocolate
In a large bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together.
Use a microwave (30-second intervals, stirring each time)
Or melt gently over a double boiler
Mix everything in
Once melted and smooth, stir in the peanuts, marshmallows, and cereal. Mix until everything is well coated.
Form the “rocks”
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment or wax paper to form small clusters.
Let them set
Allow to cool at room temperature, or place in the fridge for faster setting (about 30 minutes).
💡 Tips:
You can swap peanuts for almonds or walnuts.
Some versions skip marshmallows and use only peanuts + chocolate for a crunchier “rock.”
A pinch of sea salt on top makes them even better.
These are simple, no-bake, and full of that homemade comfort taste—just like something a mom would pass down ❤️
