1 liter water
1–2 tbsp fresh turmeric (grated) or 1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated or sliced)
Juice of 1 lemon
1–2 tbsp raw honey (to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper (important for absorption)
Optional: 1 small cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Boil the base
Add water, turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon (if using) to a pot.
Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 10–15 minutes.
Strain
Remove from heat and strain into a bowl or jar to remove solids.
Add finishing ingredients
Let it cool slightly, then add lemon juice, honey, and black pepper.
Stir well.
Bottle or serve
Pour into glass bottles or drink warm.
Store in the fridge for up to 4–5 days.
