🍖 Oven-Baked BBQ Ribs
🛒 Ingredients
1 rack pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 ½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp brown sugar (optional, for extra caramelization)
🔪 Instructions
- Prep the ribs
Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F)
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (this makes them more tender) - Season
Pat ribs dry, then rub with olive oil
Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and brown sugar
Rub seasoning all over the ribs - Wrap & bake (low and slow)
Wrap ribs tightly in foil
Place on a baking tray and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours - Add BBQ sauce
Remove ribs from foil and place back on tray
Brush generously with BBQ sauce - Finish (caramelize)
Increase oven to 220°C (425°F)
Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until sticky and slightly charred
(or broil for 5 minutes for extra crisp edges)
🔥 Tips
Let ribs rest 5–10 minutes before cutting
Add a second layer of sauce before serving for extra flavor
Serve with fries, coleslaw, or fresh bread
