1 can (or 1 cup) beef broth
2–3 tablespoons butter

Sear (optional but better flavor):
Heat a pan and brown the roast on all sides for 2–3 minutes per side.
Load the slow cooker:
Place the roast inside.
Add flavor:

Add butter on top.
Cook low and slow:
