Oven-Fried Chicken Wings

Oven-Fried Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
2 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp onion powder
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
Optional Sauce
¼ cup buffalo sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Pat the wings very dry with paper towels. This helps them get crispy.
In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
Drizzle lightly with olive oil or butter.
Bake for 20 minutes, flip the wings, then bake another 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
For extra crispiness, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
Toss with buffalo sauce mixture if desired, or serve plain with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Tips
Dry wings = crispier skin.
Baking powder helps create that “fried” texture without deep frying.
Great with celery sticks, fries, or a side salad.
