500β700 g beef steak (sliced thin, like strips or bite-size pieces)
2β3 large onions (sliced into rings or half-moons)
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Optional (but recommended):
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Shredded cheese for topping
π©βπ³ Instructions
- Prep the oven
Preheat to 180Β°C (350Β°F). - Layer the onions
In a baking dish, spread:
Half the sliced onions on the bottom - Add steak
Lay the steak pieces over the onions
Season lightly with pepper/garlic powder if you want more flavor - Add flavor mix
In a bowl, mix:
Cream of mushroom soup
French onion soup mix
(Add a splash of water if itβs too thick)
Pour this evenly over the steak. - Top layer
Add the rest of the onions on top - Bake
Cover with foil and bake for:
60β75 minutes (until beef is tender and onions are soft) - Optional finish
Remove foil, add cheese on top
Bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden
