Hot Ham and Cheese Baked Sandwiches
Ingredients
12 Hawaiian rolls or small dinner rolls
12 slices deli ham
6 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar, cut in half)
6 slices provolone cheese (optional)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon dried minced onion (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Without separating the rolls, slice the whole pack of rolls in half horizontally.
Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking tray.
Layer with:
ham slices
Swiss cheese
provolone cheese (if using)
Place the top half of the rolls back on.
In a small bowl, mix:
melted butter
Dijon mustard
Worcestershire sauce
poppy seeds
dried onion
garlic powder
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sandwiches.
Cover with foil and let sit for 10 minutes so the flavors soak in.
Bake covered for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake another 5–8 minutes until golden and the cheese is melted.
Slice and serve warm.
