Slow Cooker Creamy Mushroom Hamburger Patties
A cozy, budget-friendly slow cooker dinner with tender beef patties in rich mushroom gravy.
Ingredients
1½ lbs ground beef
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
1 small onion, sliced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional
Mushrooms, sliced
Mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, combine ground beef with half of the onion soup mix, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4–6 patties.
Lightly brown patties in a skillet for 2–3 minutes per side (optional but adds flavor).
Place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add patties on top.
In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and remaining onion soup mix.
Pour mixture over the patties.
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours
Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles with extra gravy spooned over top.
Tip
For thicker gravy, stir in a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water) during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
