Big Mac Salad with Copycat Big Mac Sauce 🍔🥗
A low-carb, burger-inspired salad loaded with seasoned beef, crunchy lettuce, cheese, pickles, and the famous creamy “special sauce.”
Ingredients
For the salad
1 lb (450g) ground beef
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup diced onions
½ cup dill pickle slices, chopped
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Copycat Big Mac Sauce
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1 tsp white vinegar
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Instructions
Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Make the sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
Assemble the salad
In a large bowl or platter, layer the romaine, iceberg lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles, and tomatoes.
Add the beef
Spoon the warm seasoned beef over the salad.
Drizzle and serve
Top generously with the Big Mac sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
