4-Ingredient Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sunday Pot Roast
This classic slow-cooked roast turns incredibly tender with just a few pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
1 beef chuck roast (about 1.5–2 kg / 3–4 lb)
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
Instructions
Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker or Dutch oven.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the meat.
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the beef broth.
Pour the mixture over the roast.
Cover and cook:
Slow cooker: LOW for 8–9 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours
Oven: 160°C (325°F) for about 3–4 hours
Once fork-tender, shred or slice and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
