Crispy Baked Cauliflower (“Better Than Meat” Style)
Ingredients
1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
3 tbsp olive oil
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: pinch of chili flakes
Fresh parsley for garnish
Optional Dipping Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp hot sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Pat cauliflower dry so it crisps properly.
In a large bowl, toss cauliflower with olive oil.
In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
Coat each floret well in the crumb mixture.
Arrange on the tray in a single layer.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until deeply golden and crispy.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Extra Crispy Tips
Use panko breadcrumbs for crunch.
Don’t overcrowd the pan.
Broil for the last 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
