Homemade Lemon Powder Recipe
Ingredients
6–8 fresh lemons (preferably organic)
Optional: 1–2 tablespoons sugar (for sweet desserts use)
Instructions
Wash the lemons very well and dry them completely.
Use a peeler or fine grater to remove only the yellow outer peel (zest).
Avoid the white part underneath because it tastes bitter.
Spread the lemon peels on a tray or plate.
Dry them:
Sun method: Leave in direct sunlight for 2–3 days until fully dry and crisp.
Oven method: Bake at very low heat (around 80–90°C) for 1–2 hours.
Air fryer method: Use the lowest setting for about 20–30 minutes.
Once completely dry, place the peels in a blender, spice grinder, or mortar.
Blend into a fine powder.
If using for desserts, you can mix in a little sugar before blending.
Store in an airtight jar for up to several months.
