Soft Skillet Flatbread Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp oil or melted butter
1 egg
Extra butter for brushing
Instructions
Make the dough
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add warm milk, egg, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead
Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
Shape
Divide dough into 6–8 balls.
Roll each into a round flatbread about ΒΌ inch thick.
Cook
Heat a dry skillet or pan over medium heat.
Cook each bread 2–3 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown spots appear.
Finish
Brush with melted butter while warm and stack under a towel to keep soft.
