Creamy Slow Cooker Rice Pudding
That “pour one mixture over raw rice” style recipe is usually a cozy slow-cooker rice pudding — creamy, sweet, and perfect for cold weather.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked white rice
4 cups milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp butter
Pinch of salt
Optional: raisins, nutmeg, chopped nuts
Instructions
Lightly grease the slow cooker.
Add the raw rice to the bottom.
In a bowl, whisk together:
milk
sweetened condensed milk
vanilla
cinnamon
salt
Pour the mixture over the rice.
Add butter on top.
Cover and cook:
LOW for 3–4 hours
or HIGH for 1½–2 hours
Stir once or twice during cooking if possible.
When the rice is tender and creamy, serve warm.
Optional Toppings
Cinnamon sugar
Honey
Caramel drizzle
Fresh berries
Toasted almonds
It thickens more as it cools, so add a splash of warm milk before serving if you want it extra creamy.
