Sautéed Mushroom and Broccoli
A quick, flavorful side dish that goes with almost anything — savory mushrooms, crisp-tender broccoli, garlic, and a simple buttery sauce.
Ingredients
2 cups broccoli florets
8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add mushrooms and cook for 5–6 minutes until browned and tender.
Add broccoli florets and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring often.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
Cook another 1–2 minutes until broccoli is crisp-tender.
Serve warm.
